The Carolina Panthers hired Frank Reich to be their next head coach. Who could he bring along to serve as offensive coordinator?

With the big announcement of Frank Reich’s hiring as the new head coach of the Carolina Panthers, there are many decisions to follow that will give more insight into what we can expect to see from the team moving forward. One of the more important is the appointment of new coordinators on both the offensive and defensive sides.

Reich has an impressive coaching tree. This figures to have been a major factor in his hiring over other potential candidates.

The former Indianapolis Colts head coach served as an assistant under multiple revered NFL head coaches including Tony Dungy, Doug Pederson, Ken Whisenhunt, and Jim Caldwell, who also interviewed for the position prior to Reich being formally named.

Two ex-Reich assistants went on to be promoted to NFL head coaches, as well. Matt Eberflus landed the Chicago Bears job in 2022 and Nick Sirianni is currently leading the Philadelphia Eagles on a Super Bowl charge.

With all the contacts that Reich has accrued over the years, there should be no shortage of options to bring in very capable coordinators and help get the Panthers back to relevancy.
