Which Carolina Panthers news stories are hitting the headlines with less than a week remaining until they pick at No. 1 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft?

We are now only six days away from the 2023 NFL Draft. This will come as sweet relief to Carolina Panthers fans, who've become tired of the debate, rumors, nit-picking, and everything else associated with the process since their daring trade-up to No. 1 overall.

Among the stories making waves recently include Andy Dalton's role, a potential edge rushing target losing leverage, ESPN analyst Ryan Clark's defense of C.J. Stroud, and Carolina's preparations for Bryce Young to ensure he hits the ground running if drafted.

Let's delve into each topic in more detail.

Ryan Clark's defense of C.J. Stroud

After the Carolina Panthers started leaning towards Bryce Young at No. 1 overall according to almost every insider around, the murmurings surrounding C.J. Stroud increased. Whether it was poor interviews, a disappointing S2 Cognitive Test score, or Brady Quinn's revelations about him "ghosting" the Manning Camp, something undeserved was transpiring where the former Ohio State quarterback was concerned.

This wasn't going to wash for player-turned-analyst Ryan Clark, who set the record straight to Quinn, a former bust and draft faller who's got no business speculating about anyone else's capabilities under center considering how his own career panned out.

"CJ Stroud never committed to attend the Manning camp. He chose to work with his teammates at Ohio State FB instead before his final season. He wasn’t paid to go, & furthermore Brady Quinn what does acquiescing to the Manning family have to do with leading an organization?"
