Round 2, Pick 40

Alvin Kamara, RB – Tennessee

The Panthers just extended Jonathan Stewart for another year but still need a running back behind him on the depth chart. For this reason, Carolina will double-dip from the University of Tennessee and select running back, Alvin Kamara. Not only is he a good runner, but he can contribute in the passing game, catching the football extremely well.

As mentioned in our pre-combine mock draft, the Panthers need to get a running back who can run short routes and help relieve the pressure when opposing teams blitz. Having a quick dump off option in the backfield is a need and Kamara provides the answer.
