Carolina Panthers inactives for Week 3
The Carolina Panthers had already ruled out Ryan Kalil and Jeremy Cash before Sunday. These are the other players who will join them as inactive.
The Carolina Panthers knew they would be without starting center Ryan Kalil and linebacker Jeremy Cash who have been dealing with injuries this week. The Panthers had to name five other players inactive for the game today against the New Orleans Saints.

However, the coaching staff didn’t feel they needed to change anything and for the second straight week the following players are inactive:
- Cameron Artis-Payne (RB)
- Daeshon Hall (DE)
- John Theus (OT)
- Brad Kaaya (QB)
- LaDarius Gunter (CB)
The Carolina Panthers will have center Greg Van Roten active for Sunday’s game in place of Ryan Kalil. He will backup Tyler Larsen who will be starting his second straight game at center.
This week will also mark Alex Armah’s first game in his NFL career on the active roster. He was signed off the practice squad to replace Greg Osen, who was placed on injured reserve after the Bills’ game.
There hasn’t been many surprises with the Panthers inactives this year. Since the team has four running backs on the roster, Cameron Artis-Payne hasn’t been able to crack the active roster. It appears he won’t be seeing much playing time unless there is an injury at the position.
The same can be said for rookie Daeshon Hall. The pass rusher was active for Week 1 due to Vernon Butler being out but since the defensive tackle’s return, he has been able to suit up.
The team also appears to taking their time with John Theus and LaDarius Gunter. The Panthers claimed both off waivers last week and neither have been active yet this year.
