Offensive Line Highs and Lows

The offensive line play will be an area of focus for the immediate future. Already having suffered injuries to two key starters, their ability to protect Newton and forge clear running lanes will be highlighted. On Friday night, there were positives and negatives for each.

McCaffrey burst through a clear hole created up front just two offensive plays into the first possession on his way to the 71 yard touchdown run. However, the Panthers line struggled to contain Dolphins defensive end Robert Quinn who recorded two sacks of Newton.

As with many preseason games the team experienced plenty of highs and lows, highlighted by the offensive line’s sporadic performance.
