This team is built for pressure situations

Obviously, this team is full of veterans. Obviously, this team has players who have been to multiple Pro Bowls. Sometimes, that isn’t enough for a team to perform well in tough situations. However, this group of Carolina Panthers is built for high stakes football. That should bode well for the postseason.

Whether it was the Mike Adams interception to halt the Giants’ scoring drive, the multiple clutch kicks from the leg of Graham Gano, or the touchdown by CMC from the arm of Cam Newton to begin the quarter, this game had a little bit of everything. Were there things they need to do better? Yes, of course there were. At the end of the day, this team showed the resolve to keep fighting to the bitter end, even if things may have looked bleak after Saquon Barkley’s touchdown. However, they hung in there and kept on fighting.

That will to win will be even more important as the season goes on. Particularly with some tough divisional games coming up, they need to continue to be cool under pressure. Yes, I know it is easier said than done. However, I believe they can do it. This team is built not only for pressure situations, but the long-haul as well. Hopefully, that can lead to some Lombardi Trophies.
