Question 2: Should the Panthers rest Christian McCaffrey?

Don’t worry fantasy football owners, there have been no indications out of Carolina that the Panthers are going to sit Christian McCaffrey any time soon.

The question does need to be asked though.

The Panthers have nothing meaningful to play for this year. The focus should be on the future.

The future of the organization is greatly tied to the health of McCaffrey.

McCaffrey is likely to play nearly every snap in this matchup as he always does. But should he?

The shelf life for running backs is short as it is. There is no need to burn out McCaffrey in three meaningless games.

McCaffrey is a gamer and certainly doesn’t want to sit these games out but sometimes management has to step in and save players from themselves.

The Panthers need McCaffrey to build around for 2020 and beyond.
