3 ways the Carolina Panthers could land Jamal Adams

Carolina Panthers: Trade scenario No. 1 for Jamal Adams
The New York Jets are still holding all the cards when it comes to Jamal Adams. They have plenty of options to keep him around if they can’t get a deal done in time. And this will mean the price to acquire his services will be steep.
That is to be expected for a player that earned a sensational grade of 83.9 from Pro Football Focus in 2019. Adams came into the league as he sixth-overall selection and it is fair to say he has lived up to expectations and more.
If the Carolina Panthers want to make a move to acquire Adams, they will have to get creative. They don’t have many talented veterans to bargain with. So they might have to use their draft capital to get a deal done.
There is a high likelihood the Panthers are going to have a high-end draft pick in 2020. They are going to go through some troubled times with a revamped roster next season and this might come with a more prominent standing in the draft charts.
While it would appear unrealistic for the Panthers to give away their first-rounder for Adams given the prospect of landing someone like Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence or Oregon’s imposing left tackle Penei Sewell. Giving up their second-round selection and a mid-rounder would be more tempting for both parties.
Plenty of first-round graded players always fall out of the top-32 picks. So the Jets would be in a strong position to get a talented prospect. It would also give the Panthers a top-end safety who is only going to get better.
