Carolina Panthers: No. 3 – Matt Paradis (C)

All eyes will be on center Matt Paradis as he looks to make the most out of what is possibly his last chance to extend his stay with the Carolina Panthers. The offensive line was dismal at best in 2019. And the former sixth-round pick out of Boise State took more criticism than most.

If Paradis does not trend on an upward curve next season, then he is a prime candidate for release next spring. He also has a new quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater. But how much chemistry they can develop in such a short space of time before week one remains to be seen.

There is a chance that Paradis bounces back. And if he does then it could increase his trade value if someone identifies him as someone that could help their protection.

The Panthers will probably be moving on from Paradis either this season or next. So getting a draft pick in exchange for him at this stage is more than an enticing proposition.

This is an offensive line that has been revamped during the offseason. And Carolina has shown willingness to move linemen that is further evident by their decision to trade away perennial Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner for veteran left tackle Russell Okung.

Paradis might also find himself in this particular scenario if he has a bounce-back campaign, where he is entering the penultimate year of his deal.
