4 Panthers who could boost their trade value in 2020

Carolina Panthers: No. 1 – Jermaine Carter (OLB)
The 2020 season promises to be a big one for Jermaine Carter. He has shown some promise since entering the NFL as a fifth-round pick. And the player will now get the chance to earn a more prominent role on the Carolina Panthers in 2020.
Carter seems to have waited for an age for this opportunity. He played well when called upon last season on his way to 22 solo tackles and 0.5 sacks. But he will know more is needed this time around with potentially more responsibility on his shoulders.
Should the player break out as some expect, then he is going to want to be suitably compensated by Carolina or someone else. The decision-makers might opt to use their spare funds elsewhere, which could see Carter on the trade block.
Defensive playmakers with proven production are always a hot commodity in the NFL. If Carter can make the necessary strides when competitive action gets underway. It would be a good bargaining tool if any team does decide to call.
Carter has a real shot of starting opposite Shaq Thompson at the outside linebacker spot in 2020. Much will depend on how the Panthers plan to utilize second-round pick Yetur Gross-Matos. But the third-year-pro should see an increased role, at the very least.
