4 under-the-radar Panthers who could make an impact in 2020

Carolina Panthers Player No. 4: Juston Burris (S)
The Carolina Panthers brought in some considerable reinforcements in a bid to turn around the fortunes of their secondary. This has left the group with a completely different feel to it barring the presence of Tre Boston and Donte Jackson.
One notable arrival was safety Juston Burris, who signed a two-year, $8 million deal that included a $2.1 million signing bonus and a further $2.1 million guaranteed. Although Carolina drafted Jeremy Chinn and Kenny Robinson, the former fourth-round pick out of North Carolina State is going to be a vital cog for the defense.
This will be especially evident in the early stages of the campaign. Chinn and Robinson will be learning on the job. And they will need a security blanket such as Burris to step in and fill the void when needed.
There is also the possibility of Chinn moving down to the second level to become a slot cornerback, which could be a strong possibility given the player’s athletic traits. If this proves to be the case, then Burris is going to see a lot of game time and might even win the starting job in week one.
Burris is now entering his prime and is coming off a 2019 season where he was on the field for 46 percent of the Browns’ defensive snaps. He recorded two interceptions, seven pass deflections, and 26 solo tackles on his way to a respectable 69.4 grade from Pro Football Focus.
