Teddy Bridgewater (or whoever is playing QB)

Obviously, the quarterback position is the biggest cloud hanging over the Carolina Panthers right now. They made their intentions very clear early on regarding a possible replacement for Teddy Bridgewater, who didn’t have a bad statistical season but simply failed to get the job done when it mattered most.

A failed trade for Matthew Stafford and the ongoing speculation surrounding a move for Deshaun Watson has been prevalent throughout the offseason. But whether the Houston Texans signal-caller is still on their radar amid a series of civil suits remains to be seen.

There is also the possibility of Carolina taking one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft, although it appears that they will have to move up in order to select a player of interest.

Whoever is under center by the time competitive action rolls around next season, they’ll have an embarrassment of riches to call upon. The Panthers did say goodbye to Curtis Samuel as expected, but the additions of David Moore and Dan Arnold have the potential to offset this in no uncertain terms.

Both signings can make a difference across the middle and in the red zone. These are two areas where the Panthers struggled and whether it’s Bridgewater or somebody else, there will be no excuses this time if the protection gets an upgrade in the coming weeks.
