Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady is back

Just as having consistency at the quarterback is important for a receiver, progressive and dependable coaching is just as key.

In his first year as the Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator, Joe Brady had his ups and downs. The most notable disappointment being the offense not performing well late in games, but the promise of what this fast-paced attack could look like showed many times throughout the year.

Brady was pursued by teams for a head coaching job this offseason but wasn’t hired by anyone, bringing him back for another go-round.

This season, D.J. Moore will have Robby Anderson back lining up alongside him, with the additions of free agent David Moore and rookie Terrace Marshall Jr. two useful pickups that further boost an already loaded passing attack.

That should allow Brady to get even more creative and cause defenders trouble for who to focus on.

One of the biggest areas that Brady needs to get Moore involved in is the end zone. The receiver only has 10 touchdowns in three seasons. which has to get better.

Yes, it’ll be difficult to target Moore in the end zone when you have a weapon like Christian McCaffrey. But even without him, the Panthers struggled to get Moore the ball in the end zone.

According to Pro Football Focus, Moore was tied for the NFL lead with six uncatchable balls thrown to him in the end zone.

With Brady back, it’ll provide consistency for Moore and the ability for the two to figure out what worked and what didn’t work last season, to improve on in 2021.
