Christian McCaffery – Carolina Panthers RB

This feels like the most obvious choice on this list. Christian McCaffery has proven he is a top-five running back in the league when healthy, and is already doing things very few players at the position have ever achieved.

In his first four seasons in the league, McCaffrey has rushed for 3,145 yards and 29 touchdowns. This is with him missing all but three games in 2020.

The thing that makes McCaffrey special is his ability to catch the ball.

Through his first four years, he has 320 receptions, 2,672 yards, and 16 scores. Again, these numbers are with the All-Pro missing almost a whole season.

McCaffrey is also one of three players ever to have 1,000 yards rushing and receiving in a single season, which came in 2019.

To put this in perspective, McCaffrey is still averaging 786 rushing yards a season, and 668 receiving yards despite his prolonged absence. He’s also averaging 11 touchdowns every year he’s been in the league.

If these numbers were replicated for 5-6 more seasons it’d be very hard to keep him out of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

He already has racked up some personal accolades as well, making first team All-Pro along with the Pro Bowl in 2019. McCaffrey is only 24 years old too, so he has plenty of time to improve his bid.

If McCaffrey keeps up this kind of production throughout his entire career with the Carolina Panthers, he will no doubt end up in the Hall of Fame.
