Omar Bayless – Carolina Panthers WR

There is plenty of excitement in the air as fans finally get to see wide receiver Omar Bayless take the field this offseason.

The undrafted free agent made the biggest of impressions for the Carolina Panthers during 2020 training camp to virtually guarantee his place on the 53-man roster, but a serious knee injury ended his dream and forced the player to miss the entire campaign.

Bayless will be hoping for better fortunes this time around and certainly looks the part judging by offseason workout videos. However, there is plenty of competition for places at wide receiver despite Curtis Samuel joining the Washington Football Team in free agency, so the Arkansas State product has no margin for error.

Providing Bayless is fully recovered, then expect him to make another solid impression with a little more experience under his belt. Coming into camp with a chip on his shoulder last summer clearly left its mark and if he can do the same again, the Panthers are going to benefit enormously.

Making the roster is the first step for Bayless.

If the wideout can do this and force his way into the team’s offensive strategy in the process, absolutely nobody will see him coming and this is something Carolina could work to their advantage.
