Tom Brady got all the headlines, which is to be expected considering his status and the position he plays. But the Tampa Bay Buccaneers don’t win the Super Bowl without what turned out to be a dominant postseason from their defense.

One player that really came to the fore during this stretch was Devin White. The linebacker seemed to always be around the football and if the former LSU star builds on this in 2021, he’ll be duly considered as one of the best players at the position.

White plays the game with infectious enthusiasm and aggression that is hard not to love. His partnership with Lavonte David at the second level is nothing short of formidable and when one considers he recently turned just 23 years old, there is simply no telling how much better White can get in the coming years.

The Carolina Panthers acquired Denzel Perryman from the Los Angeles Chargers in free agency, which should improve matters on the inside that became a weak link last time around in the immediate aftermath of Luke Kuechly’s retirement.

That being said, if the Panthers had the opportunity to snatch White, they would jump at the chance.

It will be interesting to see how White and the Bucs get on next season with the biggest of bullseye now on their backs. No matter how old Brady is, he cannot ever be written off and if the defense continues to dominate, they won’t be far away once again.
