D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

One of the most positive factors to take from Week 4 was the production of D.J. Moore. The Carolina Panthers wide receiver has been on a tear since the season began and turned in another virtuoso display despite stud cornerback Trevon Diggs shadowing him for much of the contest.

Moore is quickly entering the elite discussion when it comes to wideouts across the league. His body control is a sight to behold and the ongoing chemistry being developed with quarterback Sam Darnold can only lead to bigger things moving forward.

The former first-round pick is set to make some serious money in the not-too-distant future. Carolina picked up Moore’s fifth-year option for the 2022 season, but they would be wise to tie him down and avoid further complications at the earliest possible opportunity.

With eight receptions on 12 targets for 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns, Moore is evolving into a dynamic No. 1 option that is barely scratching the surface of what he’s truly capable of.

The Panthers didn’t come away with the victory. And Diggs will probably get all the headlines for coming up with two important interceptions in the third quarter.

But that should not detract from another exceptional performance from Moore against one of the best in the business.
