Christian McCaffrey/Chuba Hubbard – Carolina Panthers RBs

Signs pointed to Christian McCaffrey returning for the Carolina Panthers this Sunday, but the All-Pro was listed as doubtful on Friday’s final injury report. It’s encouraging that Chuba Hubbard looked great in his effort against the Dallas Cowboys, even though his numbers were fairly modest.

He had 13 carries for 57 yards and two catches for 14 yards, for a total of 9.10 fantasy points.

Start or Sit in Week 5?

If McCaffrey is active – START CMC, SIT Hubbard

If McCaffrey is inactive- START Hubbard

As seen in the first two and a half games, McCaffrey monopolizes touches so if he plays, leave Hubbard on the bench. But if Carolina’s face of the franchise can’t go, Hubbard could be a lot more productive against the Eagles, who have allowed over 150 rushing yards per game this season.

They are giving up the most rushing yards per game of any team in the league. And for all the Panthers’ problems in pass protection, they’ve held their own on running downs.

Carolina will have Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave to deal with, but whatever running back lines up on the field should have a nice day.
