Carolina Panthers fantasy football outlook for Week 5 vs. Eagles
D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR
D.J. Moore has played like a man possessed in the first quarter of the season. Like his quarterback, the wide receiver is a top-five fantasy player at his position through four games.
His eight catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns at the Dallas Cowboys came to almost 32 fantasy points. Even though the Carolina Panthers coaching staff is trying to get the ball to different targets, Moore is showing why he deserves to have the ball in his hands.
Start or Sit in Week 5?
START.
There is justifiable concern about the Philadelphia Eagles’ top-10 pass defense, but Tyreek Hill accumulated almost 50 fantasy points at their expense last week. It’s not likely Moore has the same type of production, but his target share alone is a good reason to keep him in your lineup this week.
Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR
After Matt Rhule asserted that Robby Anderson needs to get the ball more, the wideout got 11 targets against Dallas on Sunday. However, he only managed five catches for 46 yards which gave him just below 10 fantasy points.
There have been a couple of times this season where Sam Darnold has missed Anderson in stride for potential touchdowns. We can only hope their connection improves moving forward.
Start or Sit in Week 5?
Buyer Beware.
With Christian McCaffrey doubtful to return in Week 5, we should continue to see Anderson get plenty of targets. However, this game will be key to see if we can trust the wideout to get stats moving forward.
Terrace Marshall Jr./Tommy Tremble – Carolina Panthers WR/TE
Terrace Marshall Jr. and Tommy Tremble combined for four targets and one catch on Sunday against the Cowboys. Most likely a product of Darnold force-feeding Moore and Anderson while trying to play catch up in the second half.
Start or Sit in Week 5?
SIT.
We’d like to see these guys get more involved, but it’s just not happening yet.
