Leonard Williams – DL

After receiving a big contract extension this offseason, defensive lineman Leonard Williams is continuing to be one of the only true consistent players on a struggling New York Giants defense this year.

Not only has Williams been one of the more outspoken players on the team while they struggle, but he has three sacks and 33 total tackles through six games. He had 1.5 takedowns against Los Angeles Rams signal-caller Matthew Stafford during their previous outing.

It feels like every week we talk about the opposing team’s best player vs. the Carolina Panthers offensive line and that’ll be the case again

The Panthers’ protection had some decent moments against the Minnesota Vikings but still allowed Sam Darnold to be sacked on four separate occasions.

Williams, who has plenty of experience playing with Darnold while with the New York Jets, isn’t afraid to get to the quarterback and should be motivated to make his former teammate’s day a tough one.

This is another stern test for the offensive line. Williams is capable of wreaking havoc if given the chance and the fact he lines up at multiple spots makes things even more difficult.
