Predicting positions the Panthers will take in each round of the 2022 draft

Carolina Panthers will draft an OT in Round No. 1
Much has been made about this year’s quarterback class. Almost every prospect comes into the league with some significant questions and it’s unlikely that any of them have the scope to be Day 1 starters unless something drastically positive occurs between now and the 2022 campaign getting underway.
The Carolina Panthers are clearly exploring every possibility to find an upgrade on Sam Darnold. However, those in power must not overlook the left tackle position after a series of failed blindside protectors since Jordan Gross hung up his cleats.
Carolina should have one of the top-three prospects still on the board at No. 6. Although Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated had Evan Neal, Ikem Ekwonu, and Charles Cross all going in the top-five during his recent mock draft.
That would be a disaster for the Panthers. It would also involve no team trading up for a quarterback and the expected run on defensive ends not coming to fruition, either.
The Panthers didn’t properly address their offensive line woes in 2021 and paid the price. Should any of the aforementioned prospects become available, then the influential figures within the organization would be wise to turn in their card in double-quick time.
