5 Carolina Panthers with most to gain from a positive 2022 draft

Christian McCaffrey – Carolina Panthers RB
The Carolina Panthers need to go down a different avenue regarding Christian McCaffrey this season. Just what that will be is undetermined and is unlikely to become public knowledge until the time comes, but having the running back miss any more prolonged time through injury is likely to come with grave consequences.
McCaffrey is still one of the best in the business.
Arguably the league’s best dual-threat at the position.
However, people are starting to forget just how special he is given that the former first-round pick has played 10 times over the last two seasons.
Making things as easy as humanly possible for McCaffrey moving forward is the right call. Carolina brought in D’Onta Foreman for short-yardage situations and strengthened their offensive line interior with the additions of Bradley Bozeman and Austin Corbett, but more will be needed.
It’s a tough ask, but if the Panthers can acquire a new left tackle, quarterback, and perhaps even another skill position player that can contribute straight away, then that might be all needed in pursuit of alleviating pressure from McCaffrey’s shoulders.
McCaffrey will still be the focal point. But giving the All-Pro up to 30 combined touches a game is no longer an option.
