What keys will determine who comes out on top between the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants in Week 2 at MetLife Stadium?

The Carolina Panthers go into Week 2 with a 0-1 record after heartbreakingly losing to the Cleveland Browns. But despite the doom and gloom, the sky has not fallen just yet for this team as it was only the first game of the campaign.

The Browns are a better team than a lot of people give them credit for even with the absence of Deshaun Watson. They have arguably the best rushing attack duo in the league with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, who made the Panthers pay in no uncertain terms last weekend.

Carolina needs a win badly at the New York Giants as the schedule later in the season gets tough. Brian Daboll’s men are 1-0 after narrowly overcoming the Tennessee Titans, who secured the AFC’s No. 1 overall seed in 2021.

Daboll is hoping to turn things around in New York and he’s off to a great start. Last week was a gritty win featuring much-improved consistency and bold decisions that paid off, lifting the whole atmosphere across the organization.

The Giants are favored in Sunday’s game against the Panthers. Baker Mayfield and company will look to bounce back this week and the margin for error has shrunk further following an eighth-straight loss and a 13th in Carolina’s last 15 contests.

With that being said, here are three main keys that will determine whether the Panthers can emerge victorious in Week 2.
