Things are getting spicy at Carolina Panthers training camp. Day 10 (including Fan Fest) was one of the longest sessions, and the players are clearly getting a little frustrated about hitting the same people as preparations for the new campaign ramp up.
Head coach Dave Canales is making the right call by playing his starters this weekend against the Buffalo Bills. It takes everyone out of their normal routine, which is only going to serve them well. But amid the tempers fraying and verbal back-and-forths, it was another worthwhile practice as the Panthers look to build even more positivity before the new campaign.
With this in mind, here are four players who stood out on Day 10 of training camp in Charlotte.

Cam Miller, CB
The defense managed to get the upper hand, according to those in attendance, after the offense took charge in recent days. Undrafted rookie cornerback Cam Miller caught the eye with a couple of nice pass breakups, which will stand him in good stead as he looks to force his way into the team's plans.
Miller has some useful athleticism. How he performs in the preseason will be a much stronger measuring stick, but he is doing enough to get noticed at the best possible time.
Making the practice squad would still be an achievement for Miller, especially given the other corner options currently ahead of him. But he's given himself a fighting chance.
Bam Martin-Scott, LB
Head coach Dave Canales revealed that Trevin Wallace and Claudin Cherelus are in an open competition for the starting linebacker spot opposite Devin Lloyd. But after standing out in Carolina's preseason opener, Bam Martin-Scott had another nice practice on Day 10.
Martin-Scott was an undrafted success story last season, making the team and becoming a core part of the special teams plans. That might be the best he can hope for again, but the South Carolina product is coming alive at the perfect moment.
If he keeps this up, Martin-Scott will be on the team again. And he may even become a key rotational presence along the way.
Kenny Pickett, QB
The Panthers are currently without undrafted rookie quarterback Haynes King, who is week-to-week with a hamstring injury suffered on his game-winning touchdown run against the Arizona Cardinals. Though disappointing, it firmly cements Kenny Pickett as the primary backup behind Bryce Young.
Pickett's had an up-and-down camp, but there was a lot to like about his accuracy on Day 10. The 2022 first-round pick is starting to look more comfortable within the system, and the timing with his primary pass-catchers is also coming along encouragingly.
In an ideal world, Pickett won't see the field for anything more than preseason or blowout time. But he is at least beginning to show signs of life.
Corey Thornton, CB
The Panthers will be demanding much more from Corey Thornton this season. Last season ended on a sour note with a disappointing injury when some real momentum was being generated, but it's clear the second-year undrafted free agent out of Louisville is looking to make up for some lost time.
Thornton is operating primarily in the nickel. He keeps coming up with nice plays, leading many to believe the starting job is his alongside Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson Sr.
Will Lee III and Chau Smith-Wade should also find their way into roles. But given the way Thornton has constantly stood out throughout the offseason, it would be disappointing if he wasn't part of Ejiro Evero's defensive plans in 2026.
