1. Brad Nortman

Drafted: 2012 NFL Draft, 6th Round, 207th overall

The Carolina Panthers best pick with the compensatory picks has to be punter Brad Nortman. He went on to play in every game for the Panthers from his rookie season in 2012 to his departure in free agency after the 2015 season.

During those four seasons with the Panthers, Nortman averaged 72 punts per season with 2801.5 punting yards.

The consistency that he brought to the Panthers certainly could have been taken for granted as the team struggled to find a replacement for him this past offseason. After signing numerous punters, even into training camp, the team made a trade to acquire Andy Lee who was the team’s punter this past season for nine games.
