Depth in secondary tested and passes

The Carolina Panthers knew entering Sunday that they would have inexperienced Kevon Seymour lining up at cornerback opposite James Bradberry. He would be starting in place of Daryl Worley, who was dealing with a pectoral injury.

This wasn’t an easy spot for Seymour going up against a high powered Patriots offense. However, he played well enough and didn’t have any major mistakes.

However, that was the only injury the Panthers had to deal with as safety Kurt Coleman went down with a knee injury in the second quarter. He was replaced by rookie safety Demetrious Cox, who the Panthers claimed off waivers at the beginning of the season. He finished the game with four total tackles.

The Panthers did get a bit of good news in regards to Coleman and according to the Charlotte Observer, the knee injury isn’t considered season ending. The coaching staff though should feel good about having Seymour or Cox in the lineup after today’s performance though.
