Mike Adams

Just when you think he could not add any more to his resume, Mike Adams does so. In a 15-year career, he has tallied 27 interceptions, and has had a reputation for being a ballhawk.

He had two interceptions on Sunday, his most in a game since October 8, 2015. A member of the Colts, he also had two in that contest. One of his interceptions on Sunday came in a key moment. An Eli Manning pass intended for Odell Beckham Jr. was intercepted by Adams at the Carolina 14-yard line. It was a reminder that with all the attention the younger players in the secondary are getting, that the older veterans can get it done too.

It will be interesting to see if he can keep up his stellar play. A veteran as experienced as Adams should be able to.  Even if the younger guys are taking over, there is no doubt he is still one of the key leaders of the defense. The last two seasons, Adams has recorded two interceptions. At the very least, he has matched his production not even halfway through the season.
