Jordan Hicks – LB

  • 2021 team – Arizona Cardinals

According to multiple reports, the Arizona Cardinals have told Jordan Hicks his services are no longer needed after the team decided to use their first-round selection on Zaven Collins. This is a huge call to make considering the linebacker was a team captain last year and is still playing at a high level. But the young hopeful has impressed enough to get the nod.

This makes a ton of sense following after June 1. A trade would save the Cardinals a little more than $2.9 million and there might just be a team or two looking in his direction if the price is right.

Hicks had a down year in 2020, but he wasn’t alone on Arizona’s defense who failed to reach expectations once again.

The Carolina Panthers signed Denzel Perryman in free agency, who could be a fantastic addition. But the depth behind their free-agent arrival leaves a lot to be desired and if the former Los Angeles Charger suffers injury problems once again, it’s going to be a big problem.

That’s where Hicks comes in.

The Texas product brings physicality, experience, and can operate anywhere across the second level if required. These are traits Carolina looks for in almost all their new recruits. So it’s an option worth exploring at the very least.
