Carolina Panthers keys to a successful 2019 season

After a dismal second half collapse last season by Carolina, getting off to a fast start and erasing any memories of those games will help to lay a foundation for success this year. However, everyone must also keep in mind just how long the regular season is and how things can change at any point.

Through eight games in 2018 the Panthers were 6-2 and appeared poised for a return to the playoffs but seven straight losses took them out of contention. Yes, these types of slides are unprecedented in the Rivera era but teams must approach the schedule one week at a time.
By doing so and finding success in each of these preceeding areas, the Panthers can forge a path to the playoffs this season. Entrenched in arguably the most competitive division across the NFL with two games each against the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers finding some success versus these teams is also critical.
With serviceable depth, turnovers, solid special teams play and a winning divisional record look for the Panthers to make some noise and surprise some critics this season.
