Long time sports writer includes IT'S SPORTS! (Tampa Bay) in formative '80s. Bucs and Rowdies (NASL soccer) were only games in town, so lot more minor sports (swim teams, USF baseball) got attention too. Wrote for BlastingNews about Panthers of U.S. football during Super Bowl season, several seasons of work about Hornets NBA hoops as well. It counts that my knee replacement in mid-December 2017 revitalized what had become a gimpy athlete for ten years. I literally came back longer and straight off tees, putting heroically in first golf event. I never put down a star who doesn't come back just as good, am amazed that Panther LB Thomas Davis came back from 3 ACL surgeries.I will shoot HORSE with any regular human. I swam a 100m. freestyle vs. national champ (ok, female, and she did breaststroke), and nearly got drank under the table by Red Marston.
